Is this a
new form of protection, or further invasion of Americans
and specifically naturalized citizens, activists,
journalists, Muslims, opinion makers and others whom object
to anything that may classify that person as a
terrorist? As with most
issues dealing with the "War on Terror" the definition of
terrorist remains unclear purposely as it can now be applied
to just about anyone.
Consider
this story targeting people just because they have Arabic
names. The computer may decide to do the same thing
just because you belong to certain clubs, made certain
purchase or read the wrong book.

Credit Card Companies Close Muslim
Accounts

The government's post-9/11 infringements on civil
liberties have been well documented and debated. But
what happens when private companies take the fight
against terrorism into their own hands? If you're
Pakistani, or Muslim, or both, you might just find
your credit cards cancelled, despite the good credit
you've worked hard to build.
City Limits has found 12 cases in which Muslims,
nearly all Pakistani-Americans, with good credit, all
of whom claim they made no unusual or exorbitant
charges or late payments, had their American Express
credit cards cancelled. We found no cases of
non-Muslims' credit cards being cancelled outright, or
even non-Muslims who were asked to send in paperwork
for existing accounts.

Americans
wallow in distraction with our bills, frivolous reality
programming and our quest for materialism and
self-gratification; few realize the losses taking place,
even fewer the consequences. Such implementation jettisons
from Propaganda 101.
Keep the masses spinning with irrelevancy while you quietly
take their rights and privileges away. Do it incrementally
and society accepts each adjustment with little
resistance via rationalizations of "It is for our own good".
Study Germany in the 1930's and this is exactly how
the country changed. For them the common enemy and cause for
the restrictions was the Jews. For us it is Muslims
and ambiguous "Terrorists". One day the Germans woke up and
cried, "What happened?" By then it was too late.
Sunday
January 11, 2004 a blistering 60-minutes episode ran
with Paul O'Neill (View Paul O'Neill video interview on
CBS' 60 MINUTES:
http://www.corvusworld.com/oneill.htm) exposing how far
this usurping of our rights and the deception for war
purposes has come in our society, orchestrated from the top
down. It seems Americans were more concerned with the
football game on FOX, which received a 30 share than the
fact that the rights we once had are disappearing and that
our government is neglecting its primary responsibility:
To protect and defend the US Constitution. A
football game lasts three hours. The loss of rights
lasts centuries.
Leslie Stahl
asked O'Neill if he was afraid to come forward, and he said,
"No. Why should I be afraid if I'm telling the truth?"
Normally,
one shouldn't be and he did tell the truth. But for the
former CEO of two companies and a government insider with
wealth, means and influence to come forward constitutes a
major threat to the establishment. Over the next
6-weeks they, the administration with the help of the media,
will attempt to thoroughly destroy O'Neill. News stories the
following day did not cover, other than a cursory mention,
what he revealed nor its implication that the oil contracts
were discussed years before invading Iraq, who would get
what and where it would go. This was the story.
Rather other media outlets ignored the real story opting for
a smear campaign. If the government can destroy a man like
O'Neill, they scare ten other men of O'Neill's caliber from
coming forward.
Last week I
revisited the article I wrote 18-months ago on
Fascism. In July 2002, we
conclusively hit six of the
Fourteen Points of Fascism as defined by Dr. Lawrence
Britt, the leading authority on the subject. This
time, today, January 12, 2004, reading the fourteen points,
elements of all fourteen are present in the US policy
and government, and as an American, this scares the hell out
of me almost as much as the apathy and acceptance I see from
those around me. This color-coding constitutes and
electronic Star of David on every US citizen and repressive
laws and segregation of society. Via information or ghetto
walls, it equates to the same thing. Frankly, I am not afraid of
terrorists; I am deathly afraid of the power and control my
government continues to appropriate and in a democracy, that
isn't supposed to happen. <end>
