Why People Need to Hear Compliments Other Than From Their Partner & Spouse

It doesn't matter if it is after the seven year itch or just months after two lovers meet

The other day, my wife was asking me whether she should have filler injected  in her lips. To be fair, she has thin lips, but like any man, I knew what NOT to say even if I believed it and knew it to be true. My wife is a very young looking woman and her attitude, personality and youthfulness are all reasons why she looks so good.I even love her lips, thin or not.

However, and this is the disclaimer, despite her knowing that I am sincere and love her as she is, she needed to hear it from someone else, even if it wasn't as intimate. In this case, I got a message from her while she was at her doctors office. She was texting me and frantically asking me my opinion, when it was actually the opinion of the doctor that had far more weight at this moment. Of course, she knew the doctor was also motivated by profit, but he was sincere and got her business. Coming home, she also considered getting liposuction after a consultation with the doctor as well. That's when it was clear that my input had it's limitations as most husbands, boyfriends and partners have to realize at some point in their relationship.
