This article
covers the occurrences of Herpes Simplex Virus -1, or more
commonly, the cold sore Herpes. It is estimated that 90% of
adults carry this form of the virus. Though results seem to be
consistent with suffers of HSV-1, no data exists pertaining to
the effects on HSV-2 (genital herpes) suffers The
natural remedies described in this article, as of April 2003
have not been scientifically proven and studied in a clinical
and controlled atmosphere. As of this writing there is
no known cure for HSV-1 or HSV-2.

There the virus “hibernates” until our resistance
to the virus is weakened from overstress allowing it to return
along the nerve pathway to the surface and form the classic
blister. I studied the content of Natren’s Mega-dophilus and
learned that it contained the exact beneficial strains of
bacteria necessary to inhibit viruses, bacteria and fungi and
yet produce vitamin B. I also learned that Natren is certified
as International Drug GMP (good manufacturing practices)
approved.
What is Genital Herpes?
Genital
herpes—herpes simplex virus type two
(HSV-2)—is
one of the most common sexually
transmitted diseases in the
United States, with as
many as one million people in the United States
becoming infected each year.
While genital herpes
continues to spread across all social, economic,
racial and ethnic boundaries,
prevalence of infection
increased most dramatically in teens and
young adults in the late 1980s
and early 1990s (Fleming,
1997). The disease is potentially fatal in
newborns and can be particularly
severe in people
with HIV infection.
Symptoms of herpes—recurrent painful ulcers—can be
treated, but the infection cannot be cured.
Most people with herpes have no
symptoms and are unaware
of their infection. In a national house-hold
survey, less than 10 percent of
people who tested
positive with herpes knew they were infected
(Fleming, 1997).

Again, should something harm
the resident flora of our intestinal eco-system,
opportunistic flora invades and can’t produce
sufficient amounts of vitamin B to support our immune
system. Even if we are taking vitamin B orally, the
opportunistic flora can’t prepare the colon to absorb
the nourishment. The depleted supply of vitamin B
leaves our body malnourished, which has an important
affect on nerves that host and inhibit the Herpes
virus. Lacking sufficient vitamin B, a host nerve
could be overstressed by sun, fever, flu or particular
foods and a Herpes eruption might follow because the
body (nerve) lost its resistance and the ability to
inhibit the virus. Isn’t it far easier to add colon
flora to balance our intestinal eco-system thereby
amplifying our immune system through increased
production and absorption of vitamin B than it is to
avoid stress?

Whatever overstresses the nerve in which the virus
hibernates (sunlight in my case) allows the virus to
overpower the nerve’s natural resistance, and erupt on
the surface of the skin in the Herpes blister. Vitamin
B Complex properly absorbed into the system increases
stamina in the nerve by nourishing it, preventing the
virus from erupting.
The
remedy works for many others, why not you? Protect
your colon eco-system with a daily capsule of Megadophilus,
add a little vitamin B Complex tablet to a meal
occasionally and never drank chlorinated water. It’s
worth a try. Yes?

With or without visible symptoms,
the disease can be transmitted
between sex partners, from
mothers to newborns, and can
increase a person’s risk of becoming infected with
HIV. Genital herpes
can also make HIV-infected
individuals more infectious and is
believed to play
a role in the heterosexual
spread of HIV in the
United States. Preventing the spread
of herpes may
help slow both epidemics.
-
More
than one in five Americans—45 million
people—are infected with genital
herpes
(Fleming,
1997).
-
From
the late 1970s to the early 1990s, herpes
prevalence
increased 30 percent (Fleming, 1997).
-
Preliminary 1999 data from the National Health
and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES)
suggest
that the prevalence of hsv-2 has remained
relatively stable over the 1990s.
In 1999, the estimated
prevalence was 19 percent among the
general U.S. population ages 14 to
49 years old (McQuillan,
2000).
Herpes is more common in women than
men, infecting approximately
one out of four women, versus
one out of five men. This difference in gender
may be because male-to-female
transmission is more
efficient than transmission from females
to males.
