Press freedom being eaten away, says watchdog chief

Sir Christopher Meyer, the chairman of the Press Complaints Commission who sparked a political furor by lifting the lid on his time as ambassador to Washington, warned last night that freedom of the press was being gradually chipped away by the government. He said the breakdown in communication between the government and newspapers was unhealthy for democracy.

We Hold These Truths, November 2006

The Cause of Our Conflict:
The Christian Right, Dispensationalism and the Corruption of the Christian Faith.

This is a Quick Time Video slide show which will explain to you what Christian Zionism is, how the Bible has been corrupted to support political aims and why so many 'Christians' choose to follow the sword, praying for Armageddon, war, death and destruction rather than follow Christ, the cross and pray for peace.  If you've been confused why so many Christians have become advocates of death and destruction, this 50 minute slide presentation with voice over, (simply let it run and listen.  Slides change every five minutes and you can look at the info while continuing your work) will answer a lot of why's and show you where these crazy ideas come from.  Absolutely excellent, well researched and worth your time.

Death Squads Exposed: The reality of U.S. occupation Of Iraq

This shocking film investigates the links between the death squads and high-ranking Shia politicians. It reveals how the Shia militia that these politicians control have systematically infiltrated and taken over police units and even entire government ministeries. It investigates how these units are closely linked to the death squads, indeed they often are the death squads. And the killers act with impunity -- there's little investigation into their activities.

US: Immigrants May Be Held Indefinitely:

Immigrants arrested in the United States may be held indefinitely on suspicion of terrorism and may not challenge their imprisonment in civilian courts, the Bush administration said Monday, opening a new legal front in the fight over the rights of detainees. In court documents filed with the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., the Justice Department said a new anti-terrorism law being used to hold detainees in Guantanamo Bay also applies to foreigners captured and held in the United States. Halliburton is building the concentration camps.

AIPAC Press Release, November 12, 2006

AIPAC Builds Ties With New Lawmakers
11-9-6

"AIPAC reached nearly every lawmaker elected in Tuesday's mid-term congres-sional elections as part of its effort to educate political candidates on the value of the U.S.-Israel relationship.

During the campaign that ended Tuesday, nearly every viable candidate met with AIPAC professional staff members and submitted a position paper summarizing his or her views on U.S. Middle East policy. A non-partisan organization, AIPAC has for decades worked with Republican and Democratic members of Congress to strengthen the ties between the United States and Israel."

Comments: The big winner Tuesday was the Israel lobby whose grip over Congress is tighter than ever as this press release from the most prominent member of the Israel Lobby gloats. AIPAC reached nearly every lawmaker elected in Tuesday's midterm. The question Americans should be asking is: "When will representatives of the American people place America first?" The only positions acceptable to the American people on Israel should be, "Is this decision in the Best Interests of the United States? Does it uphold our laws, Constitution and International Law?" And,

"Does this position support our values of equal rights, self-determination, justice and peace?" In nearly every case where Israel is involved, the answer is a solid no.  Why? Unfortunately the question our representatives ask is, "Is this in the best interests of Israel". America and American interests rarely factor which would be acceptable if DC was located in Tel Aviv...maybe a geography lesson is in order?

Joe LieberBush

The last two races that Senator Joseph Lieberman ran and won in, his opponent got exactly 448,077 votes.

In 2000 the opponent was a Republican, and in 2006 the opponent was a Democrat.

When you roll a dice, the chance you can get a 6 is 1 in 6. The chance that you can get a 6 twice in a row is 1 in 6x6, or 1 in 36. Chances of rolling a 448,077 twice in a row are 1 in 200,772,997,929.

Coincidence? Senator Lieberman told voters he will caucus with the Democrats.  After he won, he stated he may switch to being a Republican to tip the Senate away from Democratic control.  Senator Lieberman consistently follows the neocon agenda.  Again, is this a coincidence?  It is worth finding out.

Israeli Spy Scandal Widens

This remains the most under reported story in America and it affects everyone. CBS News broke this story in August 2004 and thou it is a far greater threat to our security as a nation, the media is ignoring it because Israel is the culprit...again.

US-Latin American Relations

The Right speaks pessimistically of the threats to ‘national security and democracy’, and access to energy and other resources.  One sector on the Left claims to perceive a new regional ‘axis of counter hegemony’ led by Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia sweeping the continent.  While other prudent conservative observers argue that a broad ‘center-left’ alternative headed by ‘social democratic’ regimes like Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Uruguay ...

Musharraf Struggles Against Tribal Militants

With the U.S.- and N.A.T.O.-led nation building effort in Afghanistan seriously challenged by a resilient Taliban insurgency, Washington and the Atlantic organization are now trying to launch an effective counter-offensive predicated on two main axes.

Last week President Bush signed in to law the ability to American troops on American Citizens whenever the Federal government decides Americans aren't behaving ourselves.  This new policy officially destroys the last vestige of protection Americans had from a Federal Government run rampant through our states.  And the Mainstream media, despite the fact that Bush's actions create all the necessary avenues for a police state to be instituted at his whim, the MSM is quiet.
