Could You Be
Dating Someone with ADD? Take the 3-Minute ADD Quiz

Your boyfriend, girlfriend husband or
wife's seeming inattention may not be his or her fault.
This simple quiz can tell you if further investigation may be
needed and may explain some hidden personality quirks that have
left you wondering.
Take the quiz for yourself, your loved one,
your boss, your last spouse, your child or someone you know whom
you suspect this may be an issue. Identifying ADD it is
the first key to dealing with it.
Your
partner's erratic behavior may not be his or her fault!
ADD Always Subtracts:
If you or someone you love has ADD ,
you already know it subtracts from the enjoyment and success of
life. The good news is there are dozens of ways of minimizing
the impact on your life and treating the condition. The medical
model has numerous options, including diagnostic brain scans,
non-stimulant medications (i.e. not Ridlen). Alternative
Healers, psychotherapists, ADD Coaches, dieticians and even
video game designers all have approaches that are not part of
the Medical Model, and are effective with some people. I know
because I’m ADD, and between my children my clients, and myself
I’ve seen or tried most of what’s out there.
If you’d like to learn
what’s available (and get CEUs if you’re a licensed therapist),
take a look at the four Saturday options for getting familiar
with the problem and the options. The June 14th event is at
Huntington Hospital, and the Psychiatrist I refer to -- Todd
Hutton -- is presenting one of the break-out sessions on ADD and
Adults. I’ll be attending along with many of my clients and
other people I’ve talked into going! Join us for lunch
afterwards so we can discuss what was covered, and so you can
get connected with others who may be able to share helpful
experiences or support.
