Parenting they say is the toughest job you will ever love. Whether you love it or believe you are now fully certifiable, getting through to kids about good behavior and bad behavior at times feels like the proverbial brick wall.
When it comes to tweens and teens, peer pressure rules. What people think of him or her factors heavily into his or her decisions. As a parent you can speak of right and wrong until you are blue in the face, and still your tween or teen will ignore you. Between ten and twenty-one, they are after all, geniuses. It is the only time in their lives they will know everything. |

Why should they be any different than us? We too were geniuses at ten, eighteen and twenty-one. Remember how smart we thought we were back then? By the time we hit thirty, we felt like idiots, realizing how little we really knew! One strategy that works is posting ideas on the refrigerator. After all, kids love to eat and although they will pretend they do not see this, they will and each opening will remind them. We've created three different versions of Dr. Mark Goulston's articles "How do You Recognize a Jerk" and "How do you recognize a Mensch" which is another word for an everyday saint...a nice person you want in your life. One for girls, one for boys and one for us adults at work. Each version includes a low resolution JPG, (for those of you on dial-up) and a professional quality PDF (about 9MB) for those

We created these to help parents and employers remind their children or employees that the adage "You attract more flies with honey", basically, by being nice, you get
