These should only be used as general guidelines and cover the gamut for small, medium and large frame.  Use the Height/Weight in conjunction  with your BMI Index and your hip waist ration for an accurate health picture. For small frame subtract 15% from the high number to get your range.  For Medium subtract 8% from the high range.  Athletes will tend to weigh more as muscle weighs more than fat.  Back to Q&A
