Dr. Susan is a social
psychologist and a nationally respected relationship
expert. Her latest book is Loving in Flow: How the
Happiest Couples Get and Stay That Way. It’s based on
the lives of more than three dozen exceptionally happy
couples who learned how to create the best possible
relationship in spite of all sorts of tough challenges and,
in some instances, after hitting bottom. With her focus on
positive psychology -- what works! – Dr. Susan offers a
fresh approach to some age-old relationship issues.
Dr. Susan is regularly featured as an expert on television (Inside
Edition, UPN, KCBS), radio, and in print, including in
Us Weekly, Cosmopolitan, Family Circle,
Ladies Home Journal, Women's Health and Fitness,

bestseller Writing in Flow. She is the award-winning writer
of more than 800 articles and essays, the majority on psychological
and family topics. Susan’s work has appeared in such prestigious
publications as Psychology Today, Los Angeles Magazine,
Los Angeles Times, Child, Woman’s World,
Parenting, Writer’s Digest, and The Writer. She
is a writing coach and consultant who teaches a variety of writing
courses for Writer’s Digest’s Online Workshops.
Dr. Susan’s graduate work was completed at
Fielding Graduate Institute. She and her husband Stephen live in
